A Yorkshire-based serviced office provider has expanded its portfolio following a £2 million investment in York.
Prospect Business Centres, which makes up part of Monument Investments, is to have a third location, based at Appollo House. The company already has two complexes in Leeds.
The office location will house around 20 businesses, and also offers meeting rooms, virtual offices and hot-desking facilities for non-tenants. The office units range from two to 70 desks.
The 15,000 sq ft complex will take the total office units offered by Prospect beyond the 50,000 sq ft mark. Six jobs will also be created as a result of the investment.
Monument finance director, Andrew Walls, said it was a "significant investment". He added York is a key market "lacking sufficient flexible office space".
Mr Walls said clients at Appollo House will be provided with "high quality fully furnished accommodation backed up by the latest IT and telecoms systems and other services".
Charlie Cudworth, Prospect Business Centres' managing director, revealed a number of companies had already signed up as tenants, coming from a wide range of sectors.
He said: "We are already seeing very healthy demand in York for our offering of versatile office accommodation."
