Firm begins regeneration project

A Bradford-based property developer is set to begin work on a new commercial development in Yorkshire.
Newmason Properties has started work on the project in Baildon which will see The Printworks site transformed.
The site is located next to Greens Leisure and was previously used until 2005 by Berry Works printers.
The project hopes to bring community amenities closer to people's doorsteps.
The five-acre mixed-used development will include a 5,000 sq ft building. Tesco has already pre-let 4,000 sq ft of this and a complimentary business is being discussed for the further 1,000 ft.
The Yorkshire company said it has had a lot of interest from many community businesses, including care homes, children's play centres, motor dealers and breweries, all looking to move on to the rest of the site.
The Baildon site also has planning permission for 120 riverside apartments, to be developed by Frazer Properties.
Newmason has previously developed Byron Halls apartments in Bradford and most recently Victoria Mills in Shipley.
Andrew Mason, managing director at Newmason Properties, said: "The Printworks is an exciting foray into the commercial market for us and a chance to apply all the knowledge and experience gleaned at Victoria Mills to something entirely different.
